Oh, What a Night!

Easter holiday has just begun! No more essays, at least till the next deadline on May 21, but then again, who cares! It's time to chill out with friends, as we usually do in any other days till the essay's deadline is approaching. We're only students, and it is students' responsibility to postpone any works till the last minute, especially when it comes to essays.

So, this afternoon Jerusa, Raine and I were just wandering around Newcastle, from one store to another. Got some good bargain of summer clothes, checked the new collections in Clarks, had coffee, and finally did some food shopping in Sainsbury's. As usual, we're planning to have dinner together in Taylor House.

Around 8 at night, I started to cook my dish. Unlike any other days, I felt like to make a big production of food this time. So, sweet and sour chicken would do fine! And amazingly, the taste turned out to be alrite... hmmm, I am quite proud of myself! Meanwhile, Jerusa made rice, soup, and salad, and Tiago cooked paellas, some portuguese-spanish kind of dish which I don't even know how to spell the words. All dishes looked delicious and tasteful, and indeed they were.

The music was on, the foods were served, the people were hungry, what else did we need? So we started eating; Jerusa, Ida, Raine, Tiago, Dunya, Shalini, Eirine, Tonya, Bona and I were enjoying the food so much. It didn't take too much time to clear out all the dishes. Afterwards, we were just chilling out with coffee and ice cream, chatting, dancing, singing along, talking crap, and having fun!

The fun hasn't finished yet. Now it's time for some musical performance. Some of us were playing guitar and the rest were singing. Eirini and Tonya played guitar and sang very well, while mine was crap. But it's alrite, it's not like a professional live performance anyway; so the more you played crap, the more people got entertained for laughing at you. Raine sang brilliantly beautiful, Dunya played a wonderful flute, and Ida, as a beginner, played guitar quite good as well. Everybody was having fun, everybody was entertained and happy. We really had a quality time that night!

As the night slowly crawled to dawn, people started to disperse, either went back to sleep or watch telly or just had chat in other rooms. Dunya and I stayed in the kitchen and had a 'jam session', trying to play the song 'Love Story' with guitar and flute. We spent almost two hours to figure out what notes to play for her flute. Surprisingly, we're doing quite great, sounded so nice. A couple more of practices, then we'll have a sweet tune. After a while, Dunya went back to her room and slept, left me alone in the kitchen to find some other tunes. Later on, Ida and Tiago joined me, had chat and gave them some guitar lessons, as if I am the expert, haha!

After that, Ida was busy practising the guitar, Tiago with the CD and dancing, and I was just watching them and have a fag. Kinda tired but pleased. Around 5 in the morning, Ida, Raine, and Tiago decided to go back home. The party was over. Everybody's missing their bed. So that was it... oh, what a night! ftd!
